Would you like a more attractive smile? Are your teeth chipped, cracked, broken, or misshaped? Are they discoloured or stained? Are there unsightly spaces between your teeth? If you answered yes to any of the above questions you might be a perfect candidate for porcelain dental veneers. Porcelain veneers are one of the most natural looking options available to improve your smile.
Veneers are very fine porcelain shells that are placed over your natural teeth. Veneers are very resilient and more stain resistant than natural teeth. All our veneers are custom designed for your mouth and are individually handcrafted to give you a natural and beautiful smile that is unique to you. Veneers can change your whole smile, including the shape, colour, and alignment of your teeth. They are designed to cover stains, close gaps, and straighten teeth.

Composite Fillings (Bounding)
A composite (tooth coloured) filling is used to repair a tooth that is affected by decay, cracks, fractures, etc. The decayed or affected portion of the tooth will be removed and then filled with a composite filling.
There are many types of filling materials available, each with their own advantages and disadvantages. You and our dentist can discuss the best options for restoring your teeth. Composite fillings, along with silver amalgam fillings, are the most widely used today. Because composite fillings are tooth coloured, they can be closely matched to the colour of existing teeth and are more aesthetically suited for use in front teeth, or more visible areas of the mouth.
As with most dental restorations, composite fillings are not permanent and may someday have to be replaced. They are very durable and will last many years, giving you a long-lasting, beautiful smile.
How Are Composite Fillings Placed?
Composite fillings are usually placed in one appointment. While the tooth is numb, our dentist will remove decay as needed. The space will then be thoroughly cleaned and carefully prepared before the new filling is placed. If the decay was near the nerve of the tooth, a special medication will be applied for added protection. The composite filling will then be precisely placed, shaped, and polished, restoring your tooth to its original shape and function.
It is normal to experience sensitivity to hot and cold food or beverages when composite fillings are first placed. However, this will subside shortly after your tooth acclimates to the new filling.
You will be given care instructions at the conclusion of your treatment. Good oral hygiene practices, eating habits, and regular dental visits will aid in the life of your new fillings.
Exposure of tooth roots is the result of gum recession. Gum graft surgery will repair the recession and help to prevent additional gum and bone loss.
Gum grafts are used to cover tooth roots or develop gum tissue where absent, due to excessive gingival recession. During gum graft surgery, our dentist takes gum tissue from your palate or another source to cover the exposed tooth root. This can be done for one tooth or several teeth to even out your gum line and reduce sensitivity.
A gum graft can reduce and inhibit further recession and bone loss. In some cases, it can cover exposed roots to protect them from decay. This may reduce tooth sensitivity and improve the esthetic of your smile. Whether you have a gum graft to improve function or esthetic, you often receive the benefits of both: a beautiful new smile and improved gingival health – your keys to smiling, eating, and speaking with comfort and confidence.
